year end blues
somebody call the festive polis!!
krismas this year isn't festive none!!
am i the only one who's noticed it??
since time immemorial..krismas has been the sole bastion of justice to an otherwise donglicking year..a beacon of luminary pleasure for all self respecting humans to look up to..a time for societal slaves to clear their leave and pretentious atas individuals to lament the conclusion of yet another term break...
yes my frens...the year end is a wonderful time indeed...
which makes it even more offensive that your truly isn't feeling the festive-ness...where's that anticipation...where's the krismas high?? goddamn birth of christ is just a couple of DAYS away and i feel nothing...no krismas tree...no krismas shopping...no krismas parties...no NOTHING fuck damn it!
i feel like something just got robbed right under my nose.
in town there's all the prerequisite lights and doodads and whatnots that effectively turn orchard road into something that would give barbie an orgasmic shock but it doesn't do shit for me...i don't have that "wah jibye i damn love krismas la!!" feeling whatsoever...
lets not be superficial and mouth off that its cuz i'm in final year or i've got fyp breathing down my balls that's creating this lack of goodwill-happy type feeling..it goes deeper than that i'm afraid..the overglorified time waster cannot be compared to the shit the older folks have to endure at work and yet they're soaking in the festive season...just take a trip to MS to convince yourself..
Dear God who lives up there,
bless me Father for I have been a little asshole,
i have committed all forms of atrocities that border on many planes of morality,
all while neglecting to go to your place of worship to sing songs and listen to your messenger preach,
maybe this is Your way of making me realise its time to reflect on the past,
to ponder all that has transpired by sealing my festive mood,
i have no right to beg for anointment but yet that is all i can do,
so help lift this burden off my shoulders,
to get thru krismas and face the new year afresh.
Amen.
isn't it awesome?! don't ask me why in hell did i just vomit out a pseudo prayer on a blog...it just came outta nowhere...which makes it even more awesome!!
