Make It Happen
there are flyers & there are farmers..
there are elites & there are 'ok performers'..
..then there is tall, spoilt & wholly disinterested.
at this juncture in life just over the point where i can no longer legally behave like a child, more colloquailly known as 'adulthood' or 'cannot-take-money-from-parents-anymore', i seem to be walking into a wall...a big fiery angry Chuthulu wall..with teeth.
contemplating my available options for a 2nd career, i quickly careen to the realisation that the perfect lifestyle for me encompasses a large inheritance and a benefactor in poor health. unfortunately, the closest job match i got from taking some online job questionnaire a few years ago was 'deliveryman' & 'road cleaner' based on my job preferences. apparently its impractical to assume stress & salary are inversely related, even though life experiences dictate otherwise. if you silently concur that you're paid far too little for the amount of work you need to churn out..see what i mean?
its commonplace for the fairer sex to net themselves a rich & dying mate, thus solidifying their existences via Porches and line dancing. however, real props go up though, to those privileged few men who manage to leech themselves onto the offspring daughters of the aforemetioned females. not only are affluent females less common, the echelon is further reduced after eliminating those with faces only a drunken mother could love.
take this short quiz to find out if you're privileged (for men)
i. Do you go to your partner's place more often than she comes to yours?
ii. Do you go out with her family (dinner, relative's bdae, cousin's wedding etc)?
iii. Is she usually the driver when you both go dating?
iv. Do you usually get access to her (or her family's) car because she went away on holiday with her family?
any genius can probably figure out how to interpret the quiz results. if you're answers are all opposite to mine, congratulations you'd do well to treasure it. or else contemplating about the future and blogging about it will feature prominently in your to-do lists.
backtracking to relevancy again, it worries my senses when work life siphons 40 years and i haven't an inkling what i should (or can) pursue to shorten the relative duration. balancing interests with salary is an endeavour better left to fate and yet the irony of it is life usually deals a joker, decreeing menial mind numbing work upon us while barely provisioning equitable monetary compensation.
at the very least, i have another 2.5 years to pretend it doesn't affect me..
...but i am honestly worried.
