some random updates..
I. Finally gave in and hacked up my PSP. The good news is that now I'm able to download & run PSP/PSX games literally F.O.C; bad news is that there's no humanly possible way to partition enough free time to play through each & every game I've downloaded/ripped...
FFVIII running on PSPCurrently playing: Jeanne D'Arc. A strategy RPG that parodies the historical Joan of Arc. I don't know shit about her other than she's the white version of Mulan and if the game's story is even moderately accurate, its about a war between France & England and how 'Jeanne' is France's savior/Pucelle.
II. After years of digging around I've finally managed to obtain a good quality rip (WITH SUBS) of the Dragonball Z OVA. Notwithstanding your probable obsession with Dragonball as a kid, chances are you've never heard of this OVA, much less seen it. Its the only DBZ movie ever to feature SSJ Gohan & SSJ Future Trunks (short haired ver2) in it...and of course the obligatory scene featuring Vegeta who makes a late grand entrace only to be the first to get his back broken within the first 30s.
No you've never seen this before III. Limpei's foray into the wonderful world that is the merchant navy is currently an impending foreboding that provides nothing in the way of concrete details. All I know is I'm definitely going, but I've NO idea whens' d-day; I've NO idea which ports of call I'm visiting; and NO I still don't see the purpose of this 6 months of forceful sexual abstinence. What I can claim though..is that I won't be around to see Xmas'07...the motherfuckers~!!
IV. In accordance with my penchant for throwing money away, I've acquired my latest status (sex) symbol..the Nokia 8600 Luna. It hardly has any features and doesn't necessarily do anything well...in short its everything an overpriced white elephant should be and basically the perfect accessory for me. Congratulate me for I have finally found the true successor to my now retired Nokia 8850.
'Nuff SaidV. Congratulate me again on the revival of my Super Nintendo. The schmuck who originally sold me the console provided me a defective power adaptor..negating any use I had for the system. Fortunately the dubious world of online auctions accorded me the opportunity to find some retard who was willing to sell the power adaptor independent of the console. I wonder what he's doing with his own SNES that can't be powered up anymore.
SNES running the Dragonball Z card game RPGVI. Ever since the bulb for my lava lamp went apeshit a few years back, I've been on a fervent hunt for the elusive replacement bulb that no shop seemed to carry. Even those stores that sold lava lamps didn't have spare bulbs for sale..those greedy fucks. Anyway with a little bit of luck and direction I have now a functional lava lamp again.
